Clover Support – How to Set Up Scan-to-Order

Setting up Scan to order - Clover Support

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest trends in retail and dining, you’ve come across the concept of mobile ordering solutions, such as scan-to-order systems. Setting up scan-to-order simplifies the ordering process for your customers. It allows them to scan QR codes to view menus and place orders quickly. Clover’s scan-to-order gives your guests a touch-free order and payment experience. This feature will enable customers to place orders by scanning a QR code, streamlining the ordering process and minimizing human error.

Step-by-Step Guide to Set Up Scan to Order

Using scan-to-order provides you with various advantages. Most importantly, it speeds up the service process and eliminates the need for your guests to contact anyone else. You also have the option to add text if there is room in the content slot on the mobile page.

Now, how do you get started without breaking the bank or getting overwhelmed by tech? Here’s a step-by-step guide designed just for you:

Register app and Clover Dining

1. To begin the online ordering setup, go to the menu under the “account and setup” section of the Clover dashboard and click the online ordering option.

2. To create the online ordering system, you’ll need to fill in the information, set up business information, online menu, and etc. You can refer to this guide if you haven’t set up your online ordering to your clover device.

3. Open Clover Dining and pick a table. Tap the ‘More’ icon and choose ‘Print Menu QR Code.’ Just decide how many you need, and hit print.

4. When you click the setup button, a dialog box will pop up; you must allow the site to access the camera and scan the QR code. If you can’t scan the QR code, the system will pull up the URL so you can enter it directly into your browser.

5. After the setup, you can print these QR codes and strategically place them where customers can easily scan them—think table tents, at the counter, or even on the walls for those waiting in line.

6. In the meantime, if you still want to use the register app, scroll through the options under “Order Type” and press the “more” icon to find the “Print Menu Code” button. You will then be asked to choose between printing the QR code on paper receipts for each new guest or on stickers/signs for the whole table. Guests can access the QR code using their smart devices, and then the digital menu will appear online. They can also make orders, pay, and even tip.

As orders come in, you’ll be notified via your Clover device, and they will also be automatically printed to your selected printer.
